The facilities of Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering are located in Engineering Building IV, including the departmental officer, faculty’s offices and research labs, undergraduate training labs and teaching classrooms. The Department maintains modern classroom and laboratory facilities to support the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. The practical training labs are equipped to demonstrate fundamental principles and hands-on experience on chemical systems, including General Chemistry Lab, Organic Chemistry Lab, Physical Chemistry Lab, Unit Operation Lab, Instrumental Analysis Lab, Material Analysis Lab and Common Instrument Lab. All required courses and lab instructions are taught by faculty with assists from graduate students. All laboratory facilities are also available for students to carry out senior design projects for their undergraduate thesis under the guidance of a faculty advisor.
