Our Mission

• To address high technique in chemical engineering and materials application, we emphasize on exploration of polymer, petrochemicals, chemical materials, biotechnology and pollution prevention.
• To strengthen the cooperation relationship between our department and industries located in the Central and Southern Taiwan, we make effort to solve technological problems and promote the competition of manufacturing.

Aim and Objectives

Chemical engineering is a discipline combines the knowledge of physics, chemistry, and mathematics with the practical training of engineering. Therefore, the graduates possess not only the specialty of chemical engineering but also the capability to pursue career opportunities in fields such as petrochemical industry, semiconductors, fuels and energy, environmental engineering, food processing, plastics and polymers, biotechnology and biomedical engineering, pharmaceuticals, education, agro-chemistry and textiles. The aims of the department are to be highly acknowledged internationally for devotion of excellent teaching and outstanding researches with the focus on applied chemical and materials engineering. The objectives of the department are to provide the students with a strong background and practical training for industrial workforce or for advance professional education in compliance the governmental policy and strategy of technological advancement and to prepare student who can excel in life-long career, understand the engineering ethics, professional responsibilities and make significant contributions to the industry and society.
